Privacy Policy

How APREM handles your information
APREM respects the privacy of visitors, donors, members, volunteers and event attendees. This policy explains how information connected with apremhaiti.org and APREM’s fundraising activities is collected, used and handled.
For privacy questions or changes to your communication preferences, contact info@apremhaiti.org.
Information you provide
Depending on the service you use, we may receive your name, email address, telephone number, mailing address, message and communication preferences. Donations may also involve a contribution amount, date, transaction reference and project designation. Membership and event forms may request the information needed to process an application, issue tickets, identify attendees or respond to an accessibility request.
Please do not send passwords, full payment-card numbers, security codes or sensitive bank-account information through a contact form or ordinary email. Provide only the information needed for your request.
Technical information and cookies
The website and its hosting or service providers may process technical information, such as IP addresses, browser and device information, access logs and cookies, to operate the site, maintain sessions, protect forms and investigate technical problems.
Embedded media and any analytics or marketing tools used on this site may set additional cookies under their providers’ policies. You can also manage cookies through your browser. Blocking some cookies may affect forms, sign-in, donation or ticketing functions.
How we use information
We use information to answer inquiries, administer donations and supporter applications, maintain financial records, issue payment confirmations and event tickets, manage attendance, protect the website and communicate about the activities you choose to hear about.
Optional newsletters and promotional messages are separate from transaction messages. You may unsubscribe from optional updates through the available unsubscribe link or by emailing info@apremhaiti.org. Transaction or account messages needed to complete a service may still be sent.
Service providers and disclosure
Information may be shared with providers that help operate the website, deliver email, process payments, administer donations or manage events, to the extent needed for those functions. A payment or fundraising service may also process information under its own privacy policy. Review that policy when you leave APREM’s website or use a provider’s checkout.
We do not sell donor contact information or exchange donor mailing lists for another organization’s marketing. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or reasonably necessary to address fraud, security incidents or legal claims.
Donor recognition and anonymity
Public donor recognition is optional. We will request permission before publishing your name, donation amount, photograph or testimonial as donor recognition. Choosing public anonymity does not prevent APREM or a payment provider from retaining information needed to process and document the gift.
Tell us if you want to change a recognition preference. We can address content under APREM’s control; we cannot guarantee removal of copies already distributed by others.
Retention and security
We retain information for the purposes described in this policy and for applicable accounting, legal and operational requirements. Information that is no longer needed is deleted or anonymized through the relevant retention process. Access should be limited to authorized people who need it for their responsibilities.
Reasonable safeguards help protect information, but no website, storage system or electronic transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. If you suspect a privacy or security problem, contact info@apremhaiti.org without including additional sensitive information.
Requests and children
You may ask to review or correct information you have provided, change communication or recognition preferences, or request deletion where applicable. We may need to verify your identity. Some records may need to be retained for legal or accounting purposes; applicable rights depend on the circumstances and governing law.
Our donation, membership and event-registration forms are intended for adults. A parent or guardian should contact us before submitting a child’s personal information. Photographs and stories involving children require appropriate permission before publication.
Questions and updates
To ask about this policy or your information, email info@apremhaiti.org. We may update this page when site practices change; the latest revision date appears above.
